Pictures of Boko Haram terrorists recorded in their camp in Sambisa forest before it was taken over by the Nigerian Army has been released by the Hausa Service of Voice of America.
According to Sahara Reporters, the video was shot by one the terrorists’ videographers, ‘Abu Umma’ in 2016 in their camps.
A source at the Defense Headquarters in Abuja confirmed the identity of the Boko Haram commanders and said the pictures are being used “for further identification from detained Boko Haram in various facilities across Nigeria.”
Also, some communities in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states have been using the video clips to see if they can identify some of their children and wards who fled to go and join the terrorists.
The army has recorded success in the fight against insurgency especially with the ousting of the terrorists from Sambisa forest which used to be their stronghold.
