Nigerian-born US Army Officer Who Was killed In His Hometown Has Been Buried

Nigerian US Army officer, Chuks Okebata, who was murdered in his hometown after he came home to celebrate Christmas, has been laid to rest.

Okebata who was abducted and murdered during his visit to his hometown was put to rest on Monday, April 16.

Family and friends of the deceased were left in tears as they trooped out to pay their respects and honour him.

In an earlier report, four men suspected of being involved in the murder of the deceased were recently apprehended by Imo state police.

The soldier’s wife was initially suspected of being the mastermind behind her husband’s murder after a video of her threatening him was released by a family member.

She later came out to defend herself and denied the rumours, saying that she loved her husband.
